Usually only available to large distilleries in bulk, we are
making Gold Stone Mill premium distillery grains available in smaller
quantities for other uses.
American Rye Whiskies also must use at least 51% rye in
their grain bill, but in a bourbon-style whiskey even a small amount of rye, maybe
10-20%, still packs a punch. Rye is
often used in whiskey to add a complex, earthy, spicy or fruity flavor - think
of the distinctive flavor of rye bread.
This premium rye from
Gold Stone Mill LLC is grown on the
northern plains of North America, and has been expertly cleaned to reduce dust
and dirt, husks and stalks. Less impurities often produces a higher yield in
the still -- dirt and chaff don't produce any fermentable sugar, after all.
Gold Stone Mill offers both whole grain, if you wish to mill
it yourself, or a fine grind option if you want to skip the milling and get
straight to production.
Larger volume (200lb+) may result in price breaks, please

services.
