Description

Usually only available to large distilleries in bulk, we are
making Gold Stone Mill premium distillery grains available in smaller
quantities for other uses.

This premium 2-row Malted Barley, which has been expertly
malted to increase available sugars for better distilling yield, is an ideal
ingredient to add flavor, sugar, and natural
enzymes to your mash bill.

Malted Barley can help bring sweet flavors like caramel,
brown sugar, toffee or even a roasted or nutty quality to your whiskey.

Typical mash bills for American whiskies include 10-20%
malted barley (although there are some single malt producers out there that use
high percentages of malted barley). Many believe two-row barleys are the best
barleys for malting. In fact, outside North America most of the world’s brewing
nations exclusively use two-row barley for malt used in distilling and brewing.
(Six-row barley is rarely produced overseas, and is largely used only for
feed.)

Gold Stone Mill offers both whole grain, if you wish to mill
it yourself, or a fine grind option if you want to skip the milling and get
straight to production.

Larger volume (200lb+) may result in price breaks, please
contact Gold Stone Mill (www.goldstonemill.com) directly to inquire about their
services.

This is a raw agricultural product and is not intended for
human consumption without processing.

Laws regarding home distilling vary from state to state,
always check your local restrictions and obtain proper permissions to distill
if needed.

Note: Grains ship directly from Gold Stone Mill.
